The Shaker Garden By Stephanie Donaldson

These atmospheric images were captured at an historic Shaker Settlement in New England and in a vegetable garden in England that was created along Shaker lines by Stephanie, following the principles laid out in a 19th century Shaker handbook. The photographs appeared in her book The Shaker Garden. The Shakers found and sought simple beauty in everything they did and used, and these pictures reflect that philosophy.
