The Gardens of La Prieure D’orsan
The gardens are a true architectural gem inspired by medieval tapestries and illuminations. Patrice Taravella a Parisian architect restored the 12th century priory and with the help of local gardener Gilles Guillot they brought the garden to life.
I visited the garden in Berry, the very southern part of the Loire Valley, at Springtime. The structural and magical quality was in full view. The garden is based on the art of gardening during pre-renaissance times.
